The plastic surgery has a unique place in the world which is rapidly gaining its popularity among people. There were 8.7 million plastic surgery procedures which were executed in the United States. In 1997, there was a boom of 293 percent in the field of plastic surgery. In enhancement it was 33 percent in the year 2002. In 2003, plastic surgery procedures include 80 % of non-surgical and 20 % of surgical procedures.

The statistics of plastic surgery in 2003 was about 8.7 million plastic surgery procedures were performed. In 2002 it was about 7.0 million non-surgical procedures and about 1.7 million surgical procedures were executed. The number for common non-surgical methods in the year 2003 include Botox injections of 2,891,390 executed, Collagen injections of 576,255 performed and Laser hair removal procedure was performed on 623,297 patients. The Microdermabrasion number was 935,984 operated. In this again 13 percent of men pursued this type of plastic surgery and 86 percent of women undertake the surgery

Most common plastic surgical methods in the year 2003 include a Facelift which was 128,667 operated patients, Breast augmentation performed on 254,140 patients and Eyelid surgery performed on 246,633 patients. Then there was nose shaping which were 356,664 executed and Liposuction performed on 320,022 patients.

Statistics about Plastic Surgery in the year 2004 was analyzed and carried out by the experienced surgeons of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. It was estimated that 11.9 million surgical and non-surgical plastic surgery procedures were performed. Surgical procedures are 18 % of the total and non-surgical procedures include 82 % of the total. There was a huge rise in the percentage of plastic surgery from the year 2003 to 2004.

Plastic surgical procedures pursued by men included hair transplantation, male breast reduction, rhinoplasty, and liposuction and eyelid surgery. It is evident that 8 percent increment in the plastic surgery methods adopted by men i.e 1.2 million of the total in the year 2003.

Plastic Surgery Methods Pursued by Women included liposuction, eyelid surgery, breast augmentation, facelift and tummy tuck. Women undertake various surgical methods. There was 90 % of the total that is about 10.7 million and in 2003 and a rise of 49 % in plastic surgery methods which were executed on the women.

Statistics about Plastic Surgery Methods in the year 2005 can be divided into surgical and non-surgical methods. Surgical Plastic Methods include tummy tuck – 135,000 performed, eyelid surgery – 231,000 performed, breast augmentation – 291,000 performed, liposuction – 324,000 executed, nose reshaping – 298,000 performed and plastic surgeries performed – 2 million. Non-surgical Plastic Methods include sclerotherapy – 590,000 performed, laser hair removal – 783,000 performed, non surgical methods performed – 8 million, microdermabrasion – 838,000 performed, botox – 3.8 million executed and chemical peel – one million performed.
